Turn on the Tap for a Good Cause
Waterhead is going straight to a good cause. The benefit concert will be held at the Cox Capitol Theatre on February 27 from 6 p.m. to midnight. The evening will kicked off with a silent auction of original artwork, photography and launch into a night of music featuring some of Macon music's past and present, including Brass Tacks, Saint Francis, Treas in Season, Moonshine Still and slew of special guests.
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to Jamie Waters to help with his battle against Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Jamie is a hometown guy with a heart of gold, who is known in restaurant circles for his good work at Forsyth's Southern-food-with-a-flair Grits Cafe.
In addition to showing support for Jamie, Waterhead will also be raising awareness. A booth will be set up inside to have your cheek swabbed and sign up for the bone marrow registry.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Advanced tickets are on sale via the Cox Capitol Theatre website.
Waterhead is more than just a rock reunion. It's music, food and friendship worlds coming together to help their brother out.
